Purpose

The purpose of life isn't to be happy or rich, but to be useful, honorable, and make a difference to have lived meaningfully.

Each of us has a mission of life. When you finally find and follow the right path for your life's mission, you can be considered a successful person.

Think of it like an employee in a company. You role is to carry out the company's mission and tasks as desired by the boss or owner

In this grand design, we are all the employees (the hamba) and the boss is Allah, the Owner of everything on this dunya and akhirah

And yet, here we are, living  on earth, often without knowing our specific tasks or mission (the thing that is meant to become our life long passion)

So, how do we find our life's mission? As muslim, we ask for guidance at least 17 times a day in our prayer. It is when we recite to Allah from surah Alfatihah: “ihdinaas sirat al mustaqeem" (Guide us on the Straight Path). Straight path means the best and right destination in life

Because success isn't just about how to get there, but also about who we become along the way

So the question is, when we recite this ayah in prayer, do we truly meant it? 

How old were you when you found your mission in life?

It okay if you haven't found it yet. It's a process, that's also what I'm still trying to do too. I hope we can find ours as soon as possible.

On more thing: this life is full of challenges and struggles. This surah teaches us to rely only on Allah and to never lose hope in His mercy.
